Following the national curriculum guidelines, the focus of this book is to develop further the student s abilities in counting, notation reading and playing in groups. The units are in a mixture of major and minor keys, and melodies and rests are usually in 4 bar phrases. Where possible I have used simple rhythmic patterns with backing tracks, and some units have single lines of accompaniment.
