OverviewXing Yi is a very old fighting art from China, whose techniques are based around the use of the spear. The spear being one of the primary weapons of choice for use upon the battlefield in ancient China. The overarching strategy of Xing Yi relies upon embodying the fighting strategy or 'essence' of different animals. All of which were studied and chosen by the Xing Yi masters of the past, due to their unique and effective fighting abilities.
