The station, whose city of license is Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico and broadcasts at 98.9 MHz with an ERP of 50,000 kW, is operated by MEC Communications, with its license and transmitter owned by a Mexican company. It simulcasted with sister station XESPN from October 5, 2009 until October 31, 2009, when XESPN began airing ESPN Deportes programming. XHMORE was formerly known as Blazin 98.9 playing Rhythmic Top 40 music. XMOR originally was a Top 40 outlet with English-language music and Spanish-speaking DJs until they changed to a Spanish modern rock format in late 1993 as MORE-FM 98.9 Mas rock en espanol.
