Jacob Abbott was a prolific American author best known for his makers of history series, a collection of biographies on some of the most important figures in history such as Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, Genghis Khan, and many others. This is Abbott's biography on Xerxes, the fourth king of the Achaemenid dynasty of Persia. We are delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection.
