Martin W. B. Jarvis is Associate Professor of Music at Charles Darwin University and Artistic Director of the Darwin Symphony Orchestra. He has received a nyumber of awards recognising his contribution to the cultural life of Australia, and in particular the Northern Territory. In 2007 he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for services to music.
