Reviews

"""The best how-to book of this nature that I've ever seen! Comprehensive, inclusive, thoughtful and all offered with a terrific sense of humor and constant empathy. A must-have for any writer seeking to set up an online creative writing class!"" Fred G. Leebron, Director of Writing Programs in Charlotte, Roanoke, Gettysburg, and Latin America, and Pushcart Prize and O. Henry Award recipient ""In this essential, timely work of nonfiction, Melanie Faith writes like a dear friend whispering in your ear. She is the online teacher's sage-a mentor who guides educators through the complicated, challenging, rewarding world of the virtual classroom. This unique book offers clear, detailed examples of how to succeed as an online instructor-how to give to our students, but also to ourselves. I am beyond grateful for Faith's invigorating words and wisdom. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her voice rings with energy and compassion and humor. She presents online teaching as an art form, as she graciously shares her expertise and offers multiple opportunities for instructors to revisit and refine their craft. I will return to these glorious pages again and again."" Gina Troisi, author of The Angle of Flickering Light ""As author Melanie Faith says in Creating an Online Creative Writing Class for Fun and Profit, 'It's HARD out there for creative peeps.' The comprehensive, how-to, exercises-included guide is 'approachable, authentic, and comfortable' to use Faith's words to describe how to set-up an online class that includes the shortest commute ever! 'This is a sacred trust, ' she explains, the relationship between the student and teacher, the collaboration between colleagues, and writer to writer. A unique needs and skills-based book that offers community, support, and passion in a down-to-earth, real-world way."" Terri McCord, MFA. Queens University of Charlotte, author of The Beauts, Two-time Pushcart nominee"
