Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationWilliam C. Spruiell teaches English at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He has a Ph.D., from Rice University in linguistics, with BA and MA from University of Florida. He formerly taught at Western Carolina and University of Houston. Spruiell is an expert in grammar with many publications and paper presentations and currently teaches both grammar and composition courses. He is a member of the Language Commission of the National Council of Teachers of English. Dorothy E. Zemach teaches composition courses and English as a second language at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She has a Certificate from the Sorbonne, B.A. from Reed College, and M.A.T. in ESL from School of International Training. She previously taught English, French, and Japanese and has been corporate trainer in business communication. Zemach has taught at several schools in Japan, University of Hawaii, and American Language Center in Rabat, Morocco.
