W sezonie letnim przeprowadzono eksperyment terenowy zatytulowany ""Wplyw potasu i siarki na wzrost, plon i jakośc prosa perlowego letniego [Pennisetum glaucum (L.)]"" na średniej czarnej glebie w gospodarstwie instruktażowym Uniwersytetu Rolniczego w Junagadh (Gujarat). Na podstawie wyników rocznego eksperymentu stwierdzono, że lepszy plon i wyższy zysk netto można uzyskac z letniego prosa perlowego (odmiana GHB-538) poprzez nawożenie uprawy 120 kg K2O ha-1 i 40 kg S ha-1 na średniej czarnej glebie wapiennej w strefie agroklimatycznej South Saurashtra w stanie Gujarat.
