Overview

Wounded Dove is the true story of an immigrant family pursuing a dream to own a home of their own. Their determination and faith help them overcome prejudice, a polio epidemic that cripples one of their children, and economic setbacks. Their physically disabled daughter does not choose to stay meekly at home as expected by people in the early 1900s. She wants education, a career, independence, respect, and love.
