"The Standard Works are surprisingly clear, yet concise, in answering the question, Does life exist on planets other than Earth? The universe is immense and filled with ""kingdoms,"" as latter-day revelation informs us: ""And there are many kingdoms; for there is no space in which there is no kingdom; and there is no kingdom in which there is no space, either a greater or a lesser kingdom."" (Doctrine and Covenants 88:37.) As God revealed the immensity and substance of His kingdom and dominion to Moses, he began to gain an appreciation of the magnitude of the creative works of God. ""And worlds without number have I created; and I also created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son created I them, which is mine Only Begotten. And the first man of all men have I called Adam, which is many. But only an account of this earth, and the inhabitants thereof, give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away by the word of my power. And there are many that now stand, and innumerable are they unto man; but all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine and I know them."" (Moses 1:33-35) This scripture clarifies the truth of a number of important Gospel topics. Not only does the revelation proclaim the existence of other life-sustaining planets and the existence of life on those planets, it informs us that humans, children of our Heavenly Father, live on those planets."
