Strange, ghoulish, wraithlike, crystalline, vampire, fanged, tentacled, distorted weird, freakish, reptilian, morphogenic, symbiont, hydrozoan, siphonophore, spiked, horned, crownlike, polycephalous, polymerous, medusan, monster--these are examples of the images reported of aliens in the news and variously depicted on-screen, in literature, and in folklore.
