He has specialized in the development and management of safety and risk management programs, with a broad-based industry focus. Dan has taught at San Diego City College and San Diego State University. He created and managed the Occupational Safety and Health Management Certificate Program within the San Diego State University College of Extended Studies. He holds a BS in health sciences/industrial safety and a master of public health (MPH) with a concentration in occupational health, both from San Diego State. Steve Thompson, ARM, COSS, is President and cofounder of Thompson/Currier, an employee-owned consulting company providing business improvement strategies to commercial, government, and nonprofit organizations. He has a long track record of working to improve safety in the workplace through his founding of the Workers' Compensation Training Consortium and teaching at the college level.
