Reviews

I was delighted to review such a practical book...each assessment is complemented by a worked example which assists the less experienced SLT...it is reasonable without being patronising...I commend it to all SLTs working in ALD as a valuable resource. - Bulletin This book is aimed at speech and language clinicians but may be useful to other professionals working with learning disabilities. In trying to achieve reader accessibility, the book moves from complicated theories to simplistic descriptions. Some chapters may also be useful for unqualified staff...this book is useful for those who have little experience of working with people with learning disabilities. - Ruth Warner, Learning Disability Nurse, Nursing & Residential Care I am looking to using it in my work place (a residential home for the mentally handicapped) - Antoinette Loenen, Dutch Educational Psychologist
