Dr. Curtis has served in offices from secretary to president in her state affiliate and is still active in serving members and students. She holds several memberships with professional organizations and volunteers at national conferences for student competitions and hosting CE lectures for technologists and educators. Before entering academia, she worked as a radiologic technologist for various healthcare organizations. She continues to visit local clinical sites with current undergraduate students to stay current in the practice field.
