Scott Jr. Began his preaching career on a street corner in Graham, NC at the age of 17. Paul grew up in the Church of the Holy Comforter Episcopal in Burlington, NC. He loved music and there he sang his first solo Jesus the Very Thought of Thee at 12 years of age. He was a member of the Burlington High School orchestral and marching band playing the saxophone. After high school, Paul attended Wake Forest College where graduated with a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts with a major in Classical Greek while continuing his studies in voice under the tutelage of Dr. Clifford Baier. During a summer vacation, he studied personal counseling at the Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC and became a certified counselor. He sang in the seminary chorus and served for 10 years as a monthly soloist of the Christian Circuit Rider telecast on WRAL TV Raleigh, NC. Paul attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest graduating with a Bachelors of Divinity and returned several years later to earn the Th.M. Mid way in Paul's career, he began gathering quotations and passages that were inspiring and useful in his ministry. He decided to publish his collected works after retirement.
