Herb's most recent work, ""Words Can Save"", is without doubt my favorite from his collection. Personal communication is a lost art in our day. Herb demonstrates the various ways language and communication have had transformative power in influencing our lives and our country. Few and subtle words can have lasting impact. Words have inspired change, shaped history and civilizations. Herb effectively demonstrates this. I especially like the presidential quotes. In a very few words they allow us to forever look deep into the soul of our nation's leaders. Most importantly, with the mouth ""confession is made unto salvation""! Herbert I. Burns Jr. is an award-winning Christian author, artist, architect, public speaker, educator, and international collaborator, who is driven by his calling to share God's Word through his life experiences and those of others, as he provides pathways to find a meaningful and fulfilling life for yourself and your loved ones. Mr. Burns received a B.A Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky in Lexington KY, and a Master of Science in Interior Design from UNCG in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mr. Burns has over 39 years' experience in education at Forsyth Technical Community College and has also served as an adjunct faculty at UNCG and Salem College in the Interior Design Departments. He has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching, and leadership in education and technology. As an educator he has created and taught over a dozen new courses relating to architecture, animation and digital design and is recognized as an innovator in this field. He is a licensed architect in the State of North Carolina. His knowledge and skills are also known internationally as a guest lecturer on digital design, architecture, sustainability and best business practices in Finland, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. Mr. Burns was also a Fulbright Scholar to Russia. He was a member of first U.S. Delegation to complete a certificate of training in Russian business, law, culture, and economics at the Gazprom college of Oil and Gas Volgograd, Russia. Mr. Burns has many years of excellent business executive experiences in Architecture, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing. He is a founding collaborator to the Center for Design Innovation, Piedmont Triad Design Consortium, Serious Gaming Group, a founding collaborator of Design Leadershop, and past president of ABRO Winston-Salem. Mr. Burns has served as Interim Dean of Engineering at Forsyth Technical Community College, the Department Chair for Design Technologies which includes programs of study in Architecture, Interior Design, Radio and Television and Digital Effects & Animation and was the Program Coordinator for the Digital Effects & Animation Program, he also served as the Coordinator of International Partnerships. Currently Mr. Burns is President of HB Studios. HB Studios focuses on architectural and interior design, digital content, publishing, International, business and educational consulting.
