Overview

Words is the first installment of interviews conducted by Brian Kayser, editor-in-chief of HipHopGame.com, with some of the most influential figures in hip-hop, including DJ Premier, Just Blaze, Rakim, N.O.R.E., Raekwon, GZA, and the incomparable Sean Price. These interviews were conducted between 2005 and 2013. Brian is a very knowledgeable hip-hop writer who understands what a true hip-hop artist is, from yesterday to today, and he gets the main picture the artist is painting and converts what he feels about that artist and creates the space needed to see what the artist is all about. He understands the culture and the importance of it in this day. - Agallah 730 is an unheralded innovator in hip-hop journalism. Not everyone is able to capture the humorous side of such a serious artform. - Poison Pen Whenever it came to doing an interview with Brian, I knew the interview would be in-depth and interesting because he takes his journalism seriously. I am grateful to even know someone like him, who is very on point when doing his interviews. - Domingo Brian Kayser started writing for HipHopGame.com during his freshmen year of college in 2002. Soon after, he was promoted to editor-in-chief, interviewing many artists and industry figures in hip-hop. While writing for HipHopGame, Kayser was a part of the team that broke new artists including Lupe Fiasco, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, and Freddie Gibbs. In 2012, Kayser expanded his writing, publishing short stories in a variety of magazines and journals, including 34th Parallel, Crack the Spine, Writing Raw, and others. He is also the editor-in-chief of WeGoinIN.com.
