Overview

This full-length collection chronicles experiences from denial, despair, acceptance, and reconciliation. And it is inspired by new romantic encounters that awakened rediscovered desire and passion. The groundswell of young, talented writers and spoken-word performers has also inspired the collection. These open mic events cater to an audience there to savor not only the words but also the theatrical delivery and shared experience. I am fortunate to be living in a time and place in southern California that fosters and promotes such a community. I hope that this collection provides a means to exhibit my work that will resonate with the audience, who will recognize the authenticity of the words within themselves and realize that some works may have given a voice to their feelings.
