Neil grew up in a small town in south central PA and started working at a young age. Before starting college, Neil had already acquired management experience along with launching an educational software system. By 2012, Neil had already begun to establish a name for himself in computer technology. Neil won multiple awards for his research including: Grace Murray Hopper Prize (2006, 2007, 2008), Intel Excellence in Computer Science Award (2007, 2008), Scientific American Award (2008), Francis Bacon Prize (2008), Yale Science and Engineering Award (2007), and an Undergraduate Research Award at his alma mater, Shippensburg University. Neil holds a BSBA in Management of Information Systems from John L. Grove College of Business at Shippensburg University.
