Author Information

Patience Agbabi was born in London and spent her teenage years dancing to Northern Soul on Colwyn Bay pier. She’s written four celebrated poetry books for adults and The Leap Cycle, a time-travel tetralogy for 9–12-year-olds published by Canongate. The series debut, The Infinite, won the Wales Book of the Year: Children & Young People category in 2021. Wonderland, her YA novel-in-verse, inspired by music, dance and the iconic pier itself, will be published by Firefly Press in May 2026.
