Reviews

At close quarters, the subtitle looks more daunting, but don't be discouraged. This is a book for the serious reader or just for dipping into; but beware, spending a few minutes can lead to hours. I was given a draft copy for my 'summer holiday reading;' it is the only book that has held my attention for the whole of a long flight. -Susan Ross, Physics Education, Vol. 29, No. 1, Jan 1994 Anyone with an interest in teaching science at any level but especially those teaching physics in schools will find much thought-provoking material in here. In short: highly recommended. -Dr. J.A. Leake, Contemporary Physics, Vol. 36, No. 4, July/August 1995
