Sarah is a member of Cherokee Nation, honoring the legacy of her grandmother, who instilled in her the importance of remembering her Cherokee roots. She is also the author of A Beautiful Story: Jesus & St. Nick, which tells the true story and history of St. Nicholas and the reason behind many of our cherished Christmas traditions. Throughout her career, Sarah has been recognized for covering major news events, including the Boston Marathon bombing and the Haiti earthquake, and for her advocacy work supporting domestic violence victims and children's organizations.
