Simon Peter left us a template for dealing with the wolf's ambition: squarely punch it in the nose. There is no quiet or kindly appeal to reason; no admonitions about a higher and better way of being that will really make a dent. The most you can hope for is to instill a sense of cautious restraint via clear boundary lines that are patrolled frequently.
