Author Information

Scott Johni is a civil trial attorney based in St. Petersburg, Florida, and has been a sole practitioner for over thirty years. He handles complex personal injury cases, including motorcycle and automobile crashes, as well as select class-action matters. Born in Ohio, he was ultimately drawn to Florida to attend Eckerd College on the sparkling shoreline of Tampa Bay. After surviving law school in the frigid Northeast, he returned to Florida for good in 1993. Soon after, he met his wife, Lisa, and together they've spent over three decades building his law practice and raising their daughter. The family remains actively involved in community organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and families. For Scott, the leap from trial attorney to thriller author isn't as wide as it may seem. Both professions require crafting a compelling narrative, revealing information piece by piece, keeping an audience engaged, and delivering that climactic ""ah-ha"" moment when every puzzle piece snaps into place.
