OverviewAs societies progress from developing to developed societies, and finally to societies of abundance, the types of stress that people face also progresses. The physical stresses of survival, providing enough food, and obtaining clean water are replaced by mental and emotional stresses related to time and information. While societies of abundance provide incredible technology and modern conveniences, life can often be more complicated and chaotic as we get bombarded with information, options, and choices. It becomes difficult to discern what is important from what is insignificant, and important items get lost in clutter, disorder, and distraction. This leads to: Stress: One of the 4 major causes of illness and disease, and perhaps the one that is most readily within our control. Perceived lack of time: The feeling that we have too much to do and not enough time to do it. Activity without accomplishment: The feeling that we go around and around in circles without getting anywhere, and an ever-growing accumulation of incomplete projects. Indecisiveness: Stemming from having too many choices and the inability to discern what is important. The result is we don't get anywhere. We don't achieve what we want to. We lose time to trivial matters and enjoy life less. By removing the clutter and focusing, we can alleviate the stress, accomplish the important tasks in the time that we have, and clearly see our options so we can make optimal decisions. With Unity of Spirit: Achieving Mental Clarity and Focus Through Qigong is a practical manual that helps you attain mental clarity and focus. Clear, concise, and delivering only the relevant information that bears results, it lays out a 10-day program for achieving focus. Get started today and move from distraction to achievement.
