Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationChuck Geletzke was raised in Royal Oak, Michigan and graduated from Central Michigan University in 1971 with a BS in Business Administration degree, having majored in Marketing and Economics. He served in the United States Marine Corps and in the Army Reserve's 226th Railway Shop Battalion. In 2011 he retired from the Canadian National Railroad (former Grand Trunk Western) as a Locomotive Engineer with 45-years service in the railroad industry. During his career, Chuck also worked for the Delray Connecting RR, the Missouri Pacific, and the Detroit & Toledo Shore Line in both labor and in management. Additionally, Chuck and his brother owned an excavating and trucking business hauling perishable commodities throughout the Continental United States. Chuck is married, and has three married children, and three grandchildren. Other interests include model railroading, woodworking, college football (his favorite team is Navy), baseball, jazz, photography, and writing for various railroad and historical publications. In December 2011, Chuck published his first book THE DETROIT & TOLEDO SHORE LINE RAILROAD-EXPRESSWAY FOR INDUSTRY with co-author Wilbur E. Hague.
