OverviewThe experiences described in this book are personal experiences from my time in a veterinary practice. I am a canine nutritionist and worked for 1.5 years for a veterinary practice. I have learned how the system of pet food industry, pharmaceutical industry, pet health insurance companies, and veterinary medicine creates and needs sick pets to thrive. At the cost of the animals and at your cost as pet owner. Billions are made with sick animals and there is no interest in healing them. They are supposed to get sick and to stay sick. They are not patients but means for making money. I have learned how pet owners and veterinarians, too, are stuck in this system. This is not a conspiracy therory but documented reality. I have learned how diseases are literally made by compromising the gut health of animals with food that consists of nothing but waste and artificial enhancers. I have seen how animals are treated again and again for symptoms instead of trying to heal them. With this book I want to show you how you are stuck in this system and how you can help your dog. This book is not only about nutrition for dogs, but also how you can read labels of pet food. I explain the terms IBD, SIBO, leaky gut and dysbiosis in the gut microbiome and why these diseases have their cause in food that cannot be called ""nutrition"". It is about canine gut health, exposes the pet food industry, and shows ways to heal your dog's gut. I have written this book for the German market. Naurally, a lot of laws, regulations, and structures apply to the situation in Germany. I am sure, though, that there are similar structures in your country. The intention of this book, dear readers, is to take you on a brief exploration of canine gut health and how the system I criticize needs sick animals to exist, how the system itself creates sick animals in order to perpetuate itself. I am a passionate canine nutritionist and was trapped in this system, to which I no longer wished to contribute. So I quit my job in times of great uncertainty. Let me take you on a journey through the history of dog food, what a dog really needs, how you can interpret pet food labels and separate wheat from chaff when it comes to the quality of food. Let me show you how you can restore a healthy gut in your dog, and prevent many secondary diseases which arise precisely from a diseased gut.
