Adopted twins, Appolena and Lane Woods, are a pair of private detectives who specialize in the supernatural. One is a fount of alchemy knowledge and the other longs for a greater destiny. With their immediate family scattered to the wind, the twins have stuck together-both on the verge of completing a criminal justice degree at UCI when another supernatural mystery beckons. What begins as an opportunity for a carefree summer as counselors at Trillion Pines Youth Camp in Washington State quickly becomes high-stakes when dark omens manifest as deadly predators stalking the twins. Fortunately, it is in the darkest depths of the paranormal that Appolena and Lane thrive. With their keen analytical minds and talent for seduction, the twins' youth spent solving mysteries and acquiring hordes of arcane knowledge seem to have all built up to this moment. However, their latest opponent is unlike anything they've faced in their years of occult encounters. Many innocent lives are on the line, and twisted revelations about the twins' past begin to bind all involved in a deadly snare.
