Author Information

Hugo Gernsback, best known for his predictions of the future (today's world), science fiction (the Hugo award is named after him), electronics publications of all kinds; started the E.I company soon after he came to America. While he is not usually remembered for his mail-order radio parts business, there at 233 Fulton Street, New York, New York, he founded a business that was well known by every radio (scientist, engineer, experimenter) that lived at that time. Born in Luxembourg, he is commemorated in that country of his birth, by an annual exhibition and festival.
