Overview

Winslow Grove has it's share of unsettling characters and individuals, portrayed in a horrowing experience of horror and unsettling helplessness. A selection of shorts surrounding those effected and surviving against the ghastly onslaught of those forces, both supernatural and human, experience the heart felt angst, agony, and terror of those fleeting individuals. From Prom day students, to Sixth Form kids partying, howling to the inhuman lust and desire of a sad clown, there are many driven to despair and depravity at the hands of an unseen entity presiding over them all. In sum, all seem to know that there is an underlying malignancy haunting Winslow Grove. Many ignore it, some fight to evade it's foul clutches, while others embrace the perverted stench in all it's horrid glory. A lurid mix of Lovecraftian unease, with Brett Easton Ellis' penchant for erotic drama, and Poe's expectation of unimaginable dread lurching from the pit of human decay- as in to say, does the human heart give black it's colour, or does the bleak nocturne infect the civilised heart? The stories interweave at times with a bleak sense of humour at times, off set by the grim bizarre nature of society, intermingled as young hearts try and fight for what they believe in and love, and make sense of a world gone mad.
