Iverson not only described how she coped with the fear of the unknowing of cancer, but she also informed her readers on all the many questions one might have if they are faced with this diagnosis. As a caregiver, cancer fighter, or just like myself who's mother is also a breast cancer survivor, I highly recommend this book! Very important book. I got this book because I have a friend with breast cancer. It helped my understand what she is going through. I highly recommend this book if you are going through, have gone through or have a family/friend experiencing breast cancer. Inspirational, kind hearted, and an educational read. Information about breast cancer or cancer directly. This book really opened my eyes about what I went through personally in my life with my own cancer. Finally someone thought like me and felt the same way I did . I literally cried through the whole book. I will gladly recommend this book to anyone going through a form of cancer or dealing with a friend or family having cancer. An informative and easy read. I hate cancer!! It was interesting to see how similar yet how different our experiences were. This was an easy read and it was a comfort to read because sometimes cancer and the cancer aftermath leave you feeling so isolated yet too many people deal with cancer. As a survivor myself, I can tell you first hand navigating through this disease is overwhelming, helping our loved ones navigate is even more challenging. So tackling this subject with such clarity is a gift, and something anyone can benefit from. A must read for anyone going through breast cancer or knows someone who is! This book gives you an inside scoop of the author's breast cancer journey. A helpful hybrid of Memoir/self-help answering questions you might have, practical advice from start to finish even for the caregiver or support person. What an incredible story of a survivor- hope filled for a hope-less situation. The author keeps it real! Powerful in every way. As the spouse of a cancer survivor, this book resonated with me. This book is a great tool for managing your way through the process with every aspect explored and excellent suggestions for the person and those on the support team...
