Reviews

More complete and up-to-date than ever...It remains the best and fastest source of reasoned opinions.-JAMA Provide[s] a depth and breadth of coverage that is difficult to find in any other single text...A valuable resource for any endocrinologist, particularly for practicing clinicians.-Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism Reviews are of the last edition BMA Book Awards 2008 - Highly Commended Well-written and meticulously researched American textbook of endocrinology which provides detailed scientific and clinical descriptions of common and uncommon endocrinopathies. It's useful to all doctors specialising in endocrinology. The online facility is particularly helpful and easy to search as is the electronic image library function. This book is intended for the American market but it's valuable in other countries too providing readers possess a conversion chart for laboratory measures. It was so interesting that I actually took it upstairs as bedside reading - a bit weighty but not soporific. The book covers all area of endocrinology..as well as laboratory techniques for recognition of endocrine disorders. There have been many discoveries and newly developed areas of interest in endocrinology, which are updated in this edition. The exceptional quality of this book makes it an essential reference in the field. - DOODY'S BOOK REVIEW, 5 Stars
