Brian Lowrie CEO MaD Ministries, Scotland www.madinscotland.com I have known Connie for many years and she lives her life for the Glory of GOD! In Connie's book, she has brought out the beauty of Jesus and the blessing of knowing Him. In and through our broken and blessed times, we can know the Lord's help and guidance in all our different ways. God bless you! Rev. Gordon Thompson Faith Mission Director for Scotland www.FaithMission.org Author InformationAt the tender age of 16, with a ""Voice of Democracy"" speech award in hand, Connie (Stroedecke) MacLeod set out to change the world for the better. However, the strain and stress of school and home life resulted in a bout of pneumonia...so severe, she flat-lined. Not being raised in a Christian home, she knew little of God, but that's when Jesus introduced Himself, saying, ""Connie. Go back. It's not time yet!"" Knowing God was real, and that He cared for her birthed the unmistakable expression of joy she exudes, and a new outlet, music. Turning her hand to songwriting, she traveled the world with her guitar, playing self penned tunes and encouraging songs, recording with award winning engineer, John Blanche. But upon releasing her sophomore album, ""I Wish You Well,"" tragedy struck! An unrelated surgery took away her singing voice. Having identified as a singer/songwriter all her life, this devastating blow made her wonder, ""Did I let God down? Was He mad at me, punishing me?"" The answer was a gargantuan, resounding, ""NO!"" It was the start of God molding her, remaking her and reminding her that she was not just a singer/songwriter...she was His child, beloved and adored by the God who created the universe and everything in it! With a Bachelors Degree in Radio and Television Communications, Connie wrote copy, articles and feature stories, along with award winning photography featured in newspapers, global magazines, newsletters and web blogs, as well as producing promotions for radio and television. Following a calling, she and her husband Roddy moved to the wild bush of Kenya, living with the Samburu tribe. While sharing the love of Christ, each day was akin to an Indiana Jones movie, outrunning danger, spitting cobras, brush fires and tribal warfare, but despite the mortal danger, God held them in the palm of His mighty hand. The spiritual warfare was fierce, but as you'll learn from William's story and Connie's ongoing story, Jesus is our defender, protector and deliverer, who proves daily, that He is mighty and He is in control. By trusting in Christ, when He calls us to something, He makes a way in the wilderness and changes the impossible to possible!Today, Connie and Roddy reside in Scotland where together, they continue sharing the Gospel, the Good News, that through repentance and forgiveness, Jesus Christ rescues sinners and will lavish upon them the gift of eternal life...Salvation!
