Although he specializes in literary studies, particularly literary theory, his interests include other fields such as utopia and dystopia, art history, philosophy, film theory, and regional politics. He has written papers on, among others, William Morris, Polish rock bands of the 1980s, and British socialism at the end of the 19th century with regard to the British Empire.
