Overview

Will Smith is a popular actor and rap artist who rose to fame on the 1990s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Starring as a kid from the ghetto who goes to live with his wealthy relatives, Smith enjoyed six successful seasons on the show. He also continued his rap career, recording numerous songs as one half of the duo D.J. Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Smith went on to find fame on the big screen, playing roles in feature films such as Independence Day and Men in Black. In 2002 he received an Oscar nomination for his lead role in Ali, a film about boxer Muhammad Ali. Smith's recent projects include his 2005 rap album, Lost and Found, as well as a role as a professional matchmaker in the movie Hitch.
