Overview

Will Danger and The Family discover information at the Nazis plan to invade Norway and Denmark in early 1940. This will effectively cut off their access to the Baltic Sea where they have carried out missions to rescue Jews from Warsaw, Poland, and will effectively strand their team that is working there. Danger and Fleet Captain Lord Curtis Willingham begin feverish plans to remove the team, but Danger receives orders from on high that they are to remain in place. As he grapples with this disaster, the team in Poland contacts London with an opportunity to move as many as 500 Jews out of Warsaw and to safety. An epic journey on land and sea develops as The Family attempts the most daring rescue mission to date. The specter of death is a constant companion for the Jews, for their rescuers, and for every person engaged in the mission. In the midst of all the chaos of war, something is happening to Will Danger. Could it be possible that a new woman is entering his life? Can Danger's grief over the loss of his wife, Jane, ever permit him to move on from her, to perhaps even develop a new relationship? Can love return for Admiral Danger amid the swirl and chaos of war? Much depends upon what goes on inside Danger's mind. If a new love can return him to the brilliance that caused The Family to be such an effective special operations unit before Jane's passing, many lives could be impacted.
