Isaac is a physician assistant with a particular interest in remote and extreme environments. He is a lead instructor and Curriculum Director for Wilderness Medical Associates International. His 30 years of experience in emergency medicine includes service as a fire fighter, EMT, professional ski patroller, search and rescue team leader, and medical practitioner in hospital emergency departments and ski area clinics. Jeff is also a licensed captain and an experienced blue water sailor, having logged thousands of miles in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and the Caribbean Sea. His outdoor resume includes 20 years as an instructor and course director with the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, as well as numerous treks by foot, horse, and canoe throughout North America. David E. Johnson is an emergency physician and the owner and president of Wilderness Medical Associated International. His experience in trans-Atlantic sailing expeditions, numerous land-based expeditions in North and South America, as well as urban emergency medicine has given him a very broad base of extended patient care in difficult and demanding situations. David is a frequent conference presenter and author, and has taught all levels of EMS and wilderness medicine courses throughout the US and in some of the most far-flung corners of the world.
