Wild or Tame, I Love You the Same

Overview

Wild or Tame, I Love You the Same is a tender story about big feelings and even bigger love, as a lion cub wonders if her mother still loves her after a meltdown. As emotions roar and frustration rises, her mother guides her through a calming strategy and reassures her that love remains, even in the hardest moments. With a soothing mantra, both mother and cub learn that it's okay to feel upset, and that love doesn't disappear when things get tough. Perfect for helping children feel safe in their emotions and reminding both children and parents that love stays, even in our imperfect moments.

Author Information

Kailynn Klepfer, LCSW, is a therapist whose private practice is dedicated to supporting moms. Through her work, she noticed a common theme: many mothers shared that their toddlers and preschoolers would ask if they were still loved after a tantrum, and that they themselves sometimes wondered if their children still loved them after moments of frustration. This book was written to honor the truth that we are not perfect beings, and that love remains even in our imperfect moments. Kailynn lives in Houston with her husband, daughter, dog, and cat.
