Overview

This wild child loves to jump and dance, and stamp and prance! But beneath all that wildness is some wild wisdom that might surprise you … There are some days when Minnow wakes up and she feels wild. She roars as she dances and shrieks as she prances – she’s a wonderful, tremendous party of wild! But sometimes people aren’t fond of this wild Minnow ...   So Minnow tries something different and sees that being wild can be more than just being loud, fierce and proud. It's also wild to be gentle, thoughtful, funny and sweet – and the wildest thing of all is being true to who you are. Bursting with energy and colour, Wild Child is the perfect read-aloud for kids who love animals and letting their imagination run wild!

Author Information

Annabel Tempest always knew she wanted to grow up to be an artist. Nothing makes her more excited than a pile of paper and a seriously sharp pencil. She has a passion for picture books, and loves creating characters. Annabel’s style is bright, bold and full of colourful fun. She uses her experience as a surface pattern designer to bring lots of texture, layers and patterns into her work, and has illustrated everything from children’s books, including Rebel Wilson's Bella the Brave, and maps to greeting cards and packaging. Annabel lives in the beautiful Somerset countryside with her husband and a house full of muddy boys and dogs.
