Author Information

Mike is an award-winning writer and a literacy consultant with eight titles selected as 'Notable Books' by the Children's Book Council of Australia. Other awards include Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year, Muddled-up Farm, and CBCA Honour Book, Cat. In 2005 Mike received the Federal Minister's Award for Outstanding Contribution to Improving Literacy, which recognised his work both as an educator and a writer over an extended period. In his spare time, Mike enjoys reading, travelling, trying to keep fit, listening to jazz and watching sport. Sarah is an Adelaide-based illustrator and mural artist. Since graduating from the University of South Australia in 2013 with a Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication, Sarah has freelanced as a digital illustrator. In 2016, she began to expand her practice into the world of street art and public murals, primarily painting with aerosol for her larger-scale works. Sarah occasionally teaches art and enjoys working with schools and youth learning programs to deliver creative workshops and working on projects with a focus on community engagement.
