Author Information

Phyllis R. Silverman, Ph.D., is Scholar-in-Residence at the Women's Studies Research Center at Brandeis University, and Associate Professor in Social Welfare, Department of Psychiatry, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Silverman is also Professor Emerita of the MGH Institute of Health Professions, and she is recognized internationally for her research with the widowed and grieving children, and for the pioneer intervention she developed based on peer support.
