Overview

Life has been challenging for Adelaide Sallow. The loss of her mother and twin sister at birth, a mysterious affliction that leaves her susceptible to violent fits, and an upbringing governed by a resentful aunt and a neglectful father have had a jading effect on her outlook. The family that was meant to love and nurture her has branded her an 'untouchable', cursed with bad luck and a taste for promiscuity. Fortunately for Adelaide, she is given the opportunity to leave her troubled past behind and begin a new life at the ruling Lord's castle, where she is expected to 'service' the nobility, as well as their unit of dedicated guards.
