Author Information

Sebastian Swan was born in the North East of England not far from Bamburgh, he lectured in Yorkshire then, as the salmon returns to the place of its birth, he returned to the North East when he retired and began writing. All his life he had struggled with the written word, being dyslexic. Where he did excel, was his artwork, he drew and painted from being a small boy. He had cancer, which forced him to retire, while he was ill he started to read for pleasure, he couldn't do much else for a while. He found that in reading he could be transported away from the pain to another place, a Dream World . One day he thought he could create his own dream world, he would do it through writing, with a little help from his friends, and draw from the vast resources of history and beauty on his doorstep. Writing, he thought, was only an extension of his childhood games. The only limitations were down to imagination. Most of his books are played out in the beautiful North East of England, in sight of the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, the Christian birthplace of Northern England. Come to the North East, sit on the quiet beaches, close your eyes, and be transported into the world of Sebastian Swan. David Mattches BA
