OverviewI didn't set out with the intention to write this book (or any book for that matter). But I had a simple question in my head, that question being the title of this book. I wondered if there was any hint of an answer in the Bible but, had no idea where to start looking. Thankfully, God decided that I should get the answer to that question and The Holy Spirit started leading me from place to place around the Bible. Like a jigsaw puzzle, pieces started falling into place. Every time I came up with a piece of information or a concept that didn't fit with commonly accepted Christian tradition, I had to double and triple check other scriptures to see if what I had found was Biblical. I was led to follow a thread through the Bible and history. That thread began with Abram and eventually wound up ... well ... you'll see. For those of you who are interested in Bible study and take the Bible seriously, this treatise should command your attention for several reasons. First of all, it is a serious attempt (with a lot of help from the Holy Spirit) at 'rightly dividing the word of truth' as admonished by the Apostle Paul in the New Testament: 2 Timothy 2 [15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Most any Jew who has studied the Torah or any Christian who has bothered to crack open his Bible are familiar with the blessings that God gave to Abram/Abraham that were passed on to his promised son Isaac, and then on to Isaac's son Jacob. Jacob was renamed Israel and, of course, fathered the tribes of Israel. Most people believe that the blessings that began with Abram just filtered down to all the tribes of Israel and that is the end of the matter. That is not what the Bible indicates! Jacob did directly pass on to a couple of his descendants the blessings he received from his father and grandfather that were confirmed by God. This book will trace the route of those blessings and show you just where and when they came to fruition. The conclusion will most likely astound you.
