Overview

Sends a message of understanding, support, and guidance to those who suffer and those who care for them. Father van der Poel presents an honest, forthright, and compassionate theology for ministry with a place in every hospital, parish, seminary, classroom, and home. Suffering, grief, and loss are universal human realities that shape the quality of our health care, theology, and ministry in general. Wholeness and Holiness looks at the biblical, ecclesial, institutional, and personal responses to human suffering. Aware that theology cannot answer whyO suffering exists, this book helps us see that it does not need to alienate us from God.
