Who is an educated man?On this all-important issue, views and opinions have historically converged and diverged. The polemics as to who an educated man is a long-drawn one and is likely to go on and infinitum. This write up is therefore, a labourious attempt to highlight and juxtapose the differing ideas, views, opinions, expressions etcetera so far expressed so that the reader can independently assume a more dynamic and critical stand on the subject matter. It is heartening, however, to note that the concept of an educate man has often tended to be societal-bound, thus, tied to the value system of the people or particular social settings.
