Overview

For most of my adult life, I was incarcerated in a body that wasn't mine. My crime was food addiction. My weapons were a knife, spoon, and fork. My modus operandi was to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it, and to live as sedentary a life as possible. Much like a hardened criminal, I was given the maximum sentence with no chance of parole. Who Are You Calling Obese? is the poignant and brutally honest story of one woman's triumph over obesity and food addiction. This once obese single mom takes you inside the mind of a food addict. You will experience firsthand the shame, ridicule, and rejection felt daily by those who suffer from this debilitating illness. And you will shout for joy over the power of the human spirit to rise, like a phoenix from the ashes, when enough is enough. Who Are You Calling Obese? will.... - Help you understand the difference between being overweight and being obese - Expose the lengths a person will go to in order to deny an obesity diagnosis - Uncover unresolved issues that lead to obesity - Help you identify friends and family members that may be suffering from food addiction - Arm you with the tools and mindset to win the battle over obesity
