There have been a handful of historical eras that have marked our country's reckoning with race, and the coming post-Trump period appears destined to be remembered as another key one. The 2016 election results revealed what was only the tip of a much larger iceberg: America continues to be divided around race, and nowhere is that clearer than the divide that continues to persist within the Church. All is not lost though. The waves of hostile rhetoric and open discrimination have shaken white Christians from every background, and many of them have embarked upon a sincere journey to understand and respond to the chronic problems of racism in America. They are hungry for more stories, so that they can move out of the realm of theory and begin to apply these principles in concrete ways in their communities of influence.
