OverviewWhispers of Resilience aims to remind the world of what transpired during the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 took the world by storm. Millions died all over the world as there was no immediate known treatment for the disease. Despite the technological advancement of the 21st Century, the world was ill-prepared for the pandemic. It is hoped that with this book, humanity will not forget in a hurry the lessons learnt: how we overcame, that health is indeed wealth, that preparation is key, and that politics should not override our common purpose or goals. There is need to invest in health care systems, infrastructure and research; in family and relationships; in financial literacy, and work-life balance. At the end of the day, life is fragile, life is short. The COVID-19 pandemic showed the resilience, dedication and courage of humans. Like the Phoenix, resilient spirits will always rise again. Dark nights can indeed turn to day. May the lessons of resiliency learnt continue to encourage us to live fully and mindfully.
