Bourdouvalis examines how European democratic responses to the 2008 Global Financial Crisis demonstrated alternative forms of social democracy. John A. Bourdouvalis is a sessional lecturer with the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Deakin University. His research focuses on critiques of neoliberalism, post- Marxism, democratic theory and contemporary social democracy in Greece, Spain and Iceland.
